Black Cows or Root Beer Floats
3-2 liter bottles root beer 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
Pour root beer into glasses. Add one scoop of ice cream to each glass. Serves approximately 20.
Candy Apple Punch
6 cups cranberry-apple drink 3 cups water 15 hard cinnamon candies 1 (6 oz) can thawed limeade concentrate, undiluted
Combine all the ingredients in a large pitcher. Cover and chill 8 hours or until candies are dissolved. Pour mixture into a large dutch oven or crock pot and cook over medium heat until thoroughly heated. Serve warm. Makes 10 (1 cup) servings.
Children's Party Punch
2-6 oz cans pink lemonade 2 pints vanilla ice cream 1 quart milk red food coloring (or any color you wish)
Turn lemonade into punch bowl; add 1 pint ice cream. Beat until smooth. Tint milk with food coloring; stir into lemonade mixture. Scoop remaining ice cream into punch. Makes 12 servings.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Shake
6 large scoops vanilla ice cream 1 cup milk 2 tablespoons chocolate favor Nestle syrup 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
Place ice cream, milk, chocolate syrup and peanut butter in blender. Cover and blend until smooth. Divide between 4 chilled glasses. Makes 4 servings.
Crocodile Brew
3 cups apricot nectar 3 cups pineapple or orange juice 4 cups ginger ale or 7-Up 2 cups orange or lemon sherbet
In a large bowl, combine the apricot and pineapple juices. Just before serving, add the ginger ale. Pour into glasses and top with a tiny scoop of sherbet. Serve immediately. Serves 10-12.
Dinosaur Punch
4 cups grape juice 1-6 oz can frozen lemonade concentrate 2 cups ginger ale, chilled
In a punch bowl, stir together the grape juice and lemonade concentrate. Add the ginger ale and serve immediately. Garnish with ice cubes made of lemonade. Makes about 6 3/4 cups punch.
Halloween Phantom Punch
1 quart orange juice 1 quart club soda 1/2 gallon sherbet apple slices raisins tangerine slices grape juice
Using a muffin tin, make 6 phantom faces by freezing apple pieces, raisins and tangerine slices in grape juice. When you get ready to serve the punch, combine the liquid ingredients in a large punch bowl. Float the phantom faces on top of punch. Complete by slicing sherbet into small squares and float on top. Serves 8-10.
Juicy Beetle Punch
4 cups punch flavor Libby's juicy juice 100% juice, chilled 4 cups ginger ale, chilled 1 jar (16 oz) maraschino cherries, undrained
Combine juicy juice, ginger ale and maraschino cherry juice in a large punch bowl. Stir to combine. Cut cherries in half; add to punch. (The cherries are cut in half to look like beetles) Makes 10 servings.
Pick Your Color Punch
1-6 oz can frozen lemonade 2-25 oz bottles sparkling white grape juice 1-32 oz bottle lemon-lime soda 1 package any flavor pre-sweetened soft drink mix (kool-aid, etc)
Mix all the above in a punch bowl. Serves approximately 20. (Note: use any flavor of soft drink mix to make the punch any color you wish...green for St Patrick's day, red for Valentine's day, or to go with any theme)
Red Punch
4 cups apple juice 1-46 oz can fruit punch 1-6 oz can lemonade concentrate, thawed 1-6 oz can frozen pink lemonade concentrate, thawed 18 oz water 1 tablespoon red food coloring
Mix all ingredients in a large punch bowl. These fruit juices make a tasty drink.
Safari Punch
1 envelope Kool-aid orange flavor unsweetened soft drink mix 1 envelope Kool-aid cherry flavor unsweetened soft drink mix 1 envelope Kool-aide tropical punch flavor unsweetened soft drink mix 2 3/4 cups sugar 4 quarts cold water
Place soft drink mixes and sugar in large glass pitcher or punch bowl, add water and stir to dissolve. Serve over ice cubes. Can scoop sherbet on top of punch. Serves 18.
Sparkling Pineapple Punch
3 cups fresh chopped pineapple 2 cups unsweetened banana-pineapple-orange 4 cups lime-flavored sparkling bottled water
Mix ingredients together and freeze in soft plastic cups. Can be slightly thawed to drink as a slurpee on a hot summer day, or remain frozen and served as a popsicle.
To serve as a slurpee, slightly thaw. To make as a popsicle, place plastic wrap over cup and place a spoon, for a handle, in the center of the cop. Place plastic wrap over the top to keep spoon in place until frozen. Makes 12 cups.
Strawberry Ice
2 packages frozen sliced strawberries in syrup 1/3 cup ice water 1/4 cup orange juice 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
Mix all ingredients together in a blender or food processor until smooth. Turn off, scrape sides, blend again and pour into a plastic container. Cover and freeze until serving time.
Makes 4-6 servings. (Note: you can substitute the 1/3 cup ice water and 1/4 cup orange juice with 3/4 cup orange juice). If the ice is too hard, let it stand at room temperature 5 minutes before serving.
Strawberry-Cherry Punch
1 package cherry Kool-Aid 1 package strawberry Kool-Aid 2 cups sugar 1 quart ginger ale 3 quarts water 1 (6 oz) can frozen orange juice 1 (6 oz) can frozen lemonade
Mix Kool-Aid, sugar and water. Add orange juice and lemonade. Mix until thawed. Add ginger ale just before serving. Makes 25 servings.
Swamp Juice
2 cups boiling water 1 (6 oz) package Jello brand lime flavor gelatin 2 cups cold orange juice 1 liter lemon-lime soda, chilled ice cubes made with lemon-lime soda 1 pint orange sherbet, slightly softened
Stir boiling water into gelatin in large bowl at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Stir in orange juice. Cool to room temperature. Pour into punch bowl just before serving. Add cold lemon-lime soda and ice cubes. Place scoops of sherbet in punch. Makes 10 servings.
Sweet Sixteen Punch
1 pint raspberry sherbet 2 quarts chilled ginger ale lime slices sliced strawberries
Mix ingredients together in punch bowl. Serves 15.
Floating Hand Halloween Punch
1 envelope unsweetened grape soft drink mix 1 envelope unsweetened orange soft drink mix 2 cups sugar 3 quarts cold water 1 liter ginger ale, chilled
In a punch bowl, stir together grape soft drink mix, orange soft drink mix, sugar and water until solids are dissolved. Pour in chilled ginger ale just before serving.

Witches' Brew
2 cinnamon sticks 5 whole cloves 3 tablespoons finely chopped, peeled, fresh ginger 1/3 cup water 1/3 cup sugar
Make a spice syrup by combining the above in a small saucepan. Bring syrup ingredients to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved and simmer, covered, 5 minutes. Cool syrup. Strain through a sieve. Syrup can be made 1 week ahead and chilled, covered.
1-25.4 oz bottle sparkling cider (about 3 1/4 cups), chilled 1 quart bottle cranberry juice cocktail, chilled 1-1 liter bottle club soda or seltzer water, chilled
In a punch bowl, combine cider, cranberry juice cocktail and club soda. Add spice syrup. Stir punch and add ice blocks. Makes approx 13 cups.

To make icy hand
Wash disposable non-powdered, non-latex gloves out well. Fill with water or fruit juice, seal with a rubber band and freeze on a baking sheet. When ready to use, peel off the gloves and put the icy hands in the punch bowl. Add dark food coloring (green or purple) to the juice before freezing for a spooky accent.
Note: It is important to make sure that you use only non-powdered, non-latex gloves because many people have latex allergies and latex gloves could cause problems. You can purchase these gloves at your local pharmacy.
Wiggle-Worm Ice Fill bottoms of desired Halloween molds with water. Place chewy fruit worms in molds. Freeze till firm. Add enough water to fill molds. Freeze again until firm. When frozen, remove Wiggle-Worm Ice from molds. Float ice molds in punch.
